Hamisu has over 14 years banking experience covering international trade, private banking, branch management, risk management and energy and corporate banking.

Hamis is a seasoned and experienced expert in the energy market, and the Managing Director of an upstream oil and gas company, Canary Energy Limit- ed since April 2010, after resigning from Bank PHB Plc, as Internal Managing Director Apapa, overseeing 33 branches.

He has attended several courses including the Lagos Business School senior management program (SMP 30) in 2006 and the orchestrating winning performance in IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a chartered accountant and holds a Masters in Business Administration from University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
